1950-51 Bread For Energy Series (D290-12)

The Bread For Energy series consists of 42 different multi-sport and Hollywood celebrities. The 2 3/4" by 2 3/4"  labels were distributed on the ends of loafs of various brands of breads and bakeries, including Junge’s Bread.  These red, yellow and blue "cards" depict film actors, football players, wrestlers, boxers and four basketball players. Backs are blank and unnumbered.

The above 14 inch by 22 inch piece is an uncut bread-end label sheet and advertising poster for the 1950-51 Bread For Energy”. This sheet promoted the set that was included in loafs of Junge’s Bread.
